Team Leader – Modernization projects

Your role combines operational leadership, customer relationship management and continuous improvement initiatives. Daily interaction with clients and colleagues will place you at the centre of complex, high-impact projects. If you excel at motivating teams, balancing resources and cultivating long-term partnerships, this position offers both challenge and growth. A flexible work model allows you to divide your time between the Herstal office, project sites and home. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a group of technicians, setting clear performance targets and monitoring results
  • Ensure project quality and safety through regular site visits, audits and compliance with installation methods
  • Maintain strong client relationships by honouring agreements, resolving issues promptly and communicating progress
  • Plan short-term resources and medium-term capacity, including absence management and workforce forecasting
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to uphold commercial goals and deliver projects on time and within scope

Must have

  • Technical bachelor’s degree (electromechanics, industrial engineering or similar)
  • Proven experience in team leadership or project management within a technical environment
  • Fluent French and English, able to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills and the autonomy to manage administrative and commercial tasks
  • Clear customer focus combined with sound risk awareness and problem-solving abilities

Nice to have

  • Background in lift, escalator or comparable modernisation projects
  • Knowledge of safety and quality frameworks relevant to on-site works
  • Experience with workforce-planning or capacity-management tools
  • Ability to converse in Dutch
  • Familiarity with international matrix organisations and cross-functional collaboration
