Relationship Manager – Institutional Clients

Are you keen on guiding public authorities and non-profit organizations to achieve their financial and strategic goals? We are recruiting on behalf of a dynamic financial institution seeking to strengthen its Business Banking team in Brussels. 

As a Relationship Manager, you will focus on building profitable, long-term relationships with institutional clients while managing associated risks. You will collaborate with colleagues across various segments to ensure each client receives a comprehensive set of solutions.

Your commitment to proactively attend formal and informal events will drive client engagement and brand visibility. This position offers a balance of in-office and remote work, providing the flexibility needed to thrive in today’s changing work environment. 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to public authorities and non-profit organizations, guiding them on day-to-day transactions and strategic initiatives
  • Maintain and grow a client portfolio by identifying cross-selling opportunities and coordinating with other internal teams
  • Ensure all client interactions meet regulatory and risk management standards
  • Attend client and industry events to strengthen relationships and develop new prospects
  • Organize your commercial and administrative tasks independently, delivering timely and efficient service

Must have

  • Commercial acumen, with the ability to align banking solutions to client needs
  • Proven ability to manage administrative duties and workflows autonomously
  • Keen sensitivity to identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks
  • Willingness to learn about the ecosystems and industries in which institutional clients operate
  • Proficiency in French, Dutch, and English, facilitating strong communication

Nice to have

  • Background in corporate or institutional banking, particularly in public sector or non-profit contexts
  • Familiarity with innovative financial products and digital banking solutions
  • Strong networking skills for developing and maintaining external stakeholder relationships
  • Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams
  • Comfort in presenting and discussing complex financial concepts with diverse audiences
