Team Lead Private Banking – Antwerp Region

Step into a senior role where you coach a close-knit team of six private bankers and shape local wealth-management strategy. Working for a well-established universal bank, you will represent the private-banking division both inside and outside the organisation. 

Your mission is to boost commercial results while ensuring clients receive seamless, high-quality advice. By forging synergies with business-banking, retail and agent networks, you will expand opportunities across the region.

Alongside leadership duties, you will manage a select portfolio of affluent clients and contribute directly to revenue growth. If you combine strong people skills with an entrepreneurial mindset, this position offers the platform to drive lasting impact. 

Responsibilities

  • Coach, mentor and develop a local team of private bankers to achieve ambitious targets.
  • Act as the regional ambassador for the private-banking brand, building visibility with clients and partners.
  • Coordinate cross-selling initiatives with other banking segments to maximise client value.
  • Monitor and steer the team’s commercial performance, ensuring consistent delivery of KPIs.
  • Manage a personal book of high-net-worth clients, providing holistic wealth solutions and fostering loyalty.

Must have

  • Strong local network and talent for creating new business relationships.
  • Outstanding communication and coaching skills that inspire high performance.
  • Proven commercial drive with a clear focus on results.
  • Change-positive mindset and ability to navigate evolving market conditions.
  • Native-level Dutch plus solid working knowledge of French and English.

Nice to have

  • Prior leadership experience within private or wealth-management banking.
  • Demonstrated success in complex business-development or networking roles.
  • Familiarity with corporate-banking products for entrepreneurs and family businesses.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple business lines in a matrix environment.
  • Professional certification in private banking or wealth management (e.g., PBAB).
